Background about myself

My name is Mallory Johnson, I am currently enrolled at Grand View University in the Elementary Education program. During my summer class for teaching literacy grades 3-8 I was given the opportunity to tutor two 3rd grade students in the subject of reading. Over the course of 5 lesson we will be focusing on fluency, spelling, comprehension and summarizing. This blog will be used to track the progress of the students and also discuss procedures I will be using to assist them in becoming better readers.
